In recognition for its leadership role in revamping ITEC Houston into an educational venue and creating a first-ever Partner Program, Blue Lance’s president and CEO Umesh Verma was honored today with the IT Partner of ITEC for 2002 Award. As a part of the award ceremony, Mr. Verma presented on ITEC’s behalf a donation of $5,000 each to two key community partners, the Houston Technology Center and the Greater Houston Partnership.

“We wanted to take a great trade show, expand participation and increase its relevance by reaching beyond the hundreds of technology companies in Houston. We achieved this by creating a Partner Pavilion and providing premier trade show floor space to city, corporate and regional organizations that are involved daily in making Houston a world-class technology hub for the country,” according to Umesh Verma, president and CEO of Blue Lance.
ITEC is Houston’s premier technology show for IT professionals and corporate executives responsible for implementing technology change within a company. This year ITEC focuses on security and the protection of corporate assets from internal and external attacks. A new format provides a significant number of educational seminars, panel discussions and theater-style presentations. Blue Lance’s Partner Pavilion is hosting the Greater Houston Partnership, the Houston Technology Center, University of Houston, Rice Alliance and C-TREC.
